Safe to drink?


How do you know if your well water is safe to drink?

Solution:
Take samples and have your well water tested!


Quick Facts:
  • The maximum acceptable concentration of E. coli is 0 per 100 mL of water
  • More than 10 total coliforms bacteria per 100 mL is not safe to drink!
  • Must be less than 1 NTU of turbidity
     
  • Naturally occurring minerals affects water hardness, taste, odour, and colour. These aesthetic problems do not indicate that it is hazardous to human health. But you may want to test your water to be on the safe side
     
  • In addition to microbiological contaminants, chemical contaminants can pose a health risk!
